Dear Friends:

Thank you so for your prayers as we travel reporting to our supporting churches and visiting new ones.  Since our last letter, we have been in churches in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Thank you for praying for our furlough as we push forward to the goals we have set for this time.  We are nearing the end our our furlough.  We plan to return the first week of April, Lord willing.  Above all we pray that the Lord will use us for His honor and glory and that we will be a blessing in each church we visit. We pray that the Lord would call more missionaries to Honduras.  Also, we are happy to get to see our family and friends again.   We need to raise more support so as we report to our supporting churches we also pray that each one would increase our monthly support. If you are able to do that we would appreciate it very much. We count it a privilege to be your missionaries to Honduras.     As we visit new churches, we pray that they would begin supporting us.  We praise the Lord for those who have already increased our support and the churches that have started to support us financially.  We ask every church we visit to back us with your prayers.  Your prayers for us and the ministry are immensely important.

Please pray for our upcoming Youth Camp.  It will be during Easter week, or as they call it in Latin America, Holy Week.   We ask you to pray for that the Lord will provide the funds to pay one half of each camper’s cost.  That is $58.00.  If you can help, please send your offering to the IBFI office, made out to the IBFI, and designated to Honduras Youth Camp.  You will be making an eternal investment in that teens life.  In past camps, we have had teens saved and others dedicate their lives to the Lord.   Please pray for each teen and those who will be working, teaching, and preaching.

We praise the Lord for the funds that have come in for the vehicle to take back to Honduras and use on furlough.  It is a Nissan Rogue.  The bank that loaned us the money and has in the past explained that laws have changed and now when we take it out of the country it becomes an unsecured loan and the interest rate will increase.  Please pray with us that the Lord will provide the funds to pay it off and to pay the shipping and to pay the Honduran import taxes by March.  We are asking sixty churches to make one payment of $460.00 between now and February.  If the Lord leads you to make a payment, please send it to the IBFI Mission Office and designate it as car payment.

If you are not receiving our emails, please let us know at lesliepriday@gmail.com.  We are trying to change to email only newsletters.  If you prefer us to mail you a paper copy, please let us know.  You may call by telephone to 817-341-9158Thank you again for partnering with us to take the Hope of the Gospel of Christ to Honduras with your prayers and support.   May God bless you greatly.

Dear Pastor and Church:

We appreciate your prayers as we travel reporting to our supporting churches and visiting new ones.  The Lord has kept us safe as we have been in Texas, Indiana, Georgia, North and South Carolina since our last letter.

We have several goals for our furlough time.

Reports from Honduras are good.  Alba’s Father recently celebrated his 90th birthday!  We praise the Lord for his health.  The first week of October my Dad taught our annual Men’s Conference with men from three churches.  It is very important to reach and train men in the churches.  Also, our son Halbert organized a seminar for those wanting to be counselors at our upcoming Youth Camp.   We praise the Lord that Countryside Baptist Church of Mansfield, Texas has sent $1,000.00 for Youth Camp.

We praise the Lord that so far $1460.00 has come in for the vehicle to take back to Honduras and use on furlough.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you as we travel.  If you are not receiving our emails, please let us know at lesliepriday@gmail.com.  We are trying to change to email only newsletters.  If you prefer us to mail you a paper copy, please let us know.  You may call by telephone to 817-341-9158Thank you again for partnering with us to take the Hope of the Gospel of Christ to Honduras.  We wish each of you a blessed Thanksgiving and a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of our dear Savior.    We are spending Thanksgiving with friends in Charleston, South Carolina and Christmas with our family in Oregon.      May God bless you greatly.

Leslie and Alba Priday

Dear Friends:

Greetings from Ohio! We appreciate your prayers as we travel reporting to our supporting churches and visiting new ones. The Lord has kept us safe as we have been in churches in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Ohio. In October we will be in churches in Ohio, Michigan, and Texas.

Recently I was privileged to preach in the Norris Bible Baptist Seminary (http://www.norrisseminary.org) where I graduated in 1985.  It was exciting to think of the thousands of souls those students will reach in their ministries if the Lord tarries is coming and that we can have a tiny part in that.

We have several goals for our furlough time. Above all we pray that the Lord will use us for His honor and glory and that we will be a blessing in each church we visit. We pray that the Lord would call more missionaries to Honduras. Also, we are happy to get to see our family and friends again. We praise the Lord for those who have already increased our support and the churches that have started to support us financially. We ask every church we visit to back us with your prayers. Your prayers for us and the ministry are immensely important .

We want to thank Vandalia Baptist Temple and Eaton Baptist Temple both of Ohio for their offerings for a video projector for the mission work in Honduras. We still need $250.00 more. We praise the Lord we have found a vehicle to take back to Honduras and we will use it on furlough. It is a Nissan Rogue. The bank that loaned us the money and has in the past explained that laws have changed and now when we take it out of the country it becomes an unsecured loan and the interest rate will increase. Dear Colaborers,

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support.  It has been our   privilege to be your missionaries for 31 years.  We have been in several churches in Texas, New Mexico, and now we are in Oregon visiting churches and our family.   My grandmother is almost ninety-four years old so we are excited to see her.

The middle of August we will be back in Texas and will be in churches in Texas and Oklahoma for the month of September.  We praise the Lord for the good reception we have had in the churches we have visited.

Please pray for the work as we are away.  Different pastors and my Father are preaching each week and my Father is checking on them and helping them.  Bro. Nery, one of the men in the church is receiving classes from my Dad and is teaching the adult Sunday School class and leads the services.  Our son Halbert is the music director and youth Sunday School teacher and leader.  Reports are that the work is doing well.  We praise the Lord for the people’s willingness to serve Him and their desire to see the work grow.

It was great to see many pastor friends at the recent Annual National Fellowship Meeting of the Independent Baptist Fellowship International in May.  It is exciting to see how the Norris Bible Baptist Seminary is progressing (http://www.norrisseminary.org). May God bless you greatly.

Dear Colaborers,

Greetings from Texas!  We arrived in Weatherford, Texas April 19th for our furlough.  Our last furlough was 2007-2008.  This time we are traveling without our sons.  Halbert, Edgar, and his wife Alexandra remain in Honduras.  Steve will be living in the Dallas Fort Worth area.  We have already been in several churches. Please pray that we will be able to fill our schedule, raise the needed funds, and that we will be a blessing in each church that we visit.

Thank you for your prayers for our recent Youth Camp.  We had classes on how to win souls taught by a Honduran Pastor and myself.  My father, Missionary Harold Priday taught the boys a special class each day and Missionary Miss Shelley Grimm taught the girls.  We had a different preacher each night.  We praise the Lord that we had fifty-seven in attendance.  Two days, we held a mini vacation Bible school in a poor area outside of the city.  Praise the Lord that we saw six saved there.  We also have had several saved after Camp in the mission work.  We also praise the Lord for all who gave special offerings to help the teens pay for their camp costs.

Please pray for the work as we are away.  Goodbyes are always difficult.  All the responsibilities were assigned and the work will continue!  Different pastors will be preaching each week and my father will be checking on them and helping them.  We have about six ready to be baptized.  We praise the Lord for the people’s willingness to serve Him and their desire to see the work grow.

Thank you again for your faithful prayers and financial support.  I will be preaching at the Annual National Fellowship Meeting of the Independent Baptist Fellowship International in May.  Please pray that the Lord will use me to be a  blessing and encouragement there.  We are looking forward to seeing all of you as we travel.  If you are not receiving our emails, please let us know at lesliepriday@gmail.com.    May God bless you greatly.

Dear Pastor and Church:

Happy New Year!!  We trust that each of you had a wonderful Christmas and that you will have a blessed 2016.  Thank you for your prayers and financial support.  It is our privilege to be your missionaries here in Honduras.

We had a special Christmas service and dinner in the mission work December 20th.   Alba directed a puppet show and a drama, Halbert led in special music, and I preached.

On December 26, we had a youth rally with five churches from 4 different areas.  We had games and a service in the morning, lunch, and then more games and another service in the afternoon.   Praise the Lord we had about seventy-five present!

We began the year with our annual week of prayer, meeting Monday through Saturday for special prayer and a short sermon about prayer.

Please continue to pray for our 2016 YOUTH CAMP,  Easter Week or Holy Week as we say here.  To be able to have camp with our youth who come from poor homes, we have to help them with half of their camp costs.  Please pray that the Lord will provide these extra funds.  That comes out to about $55.00 for each camper.  We are praying for a special offering of $2,750.00 for this camp.  Please notify us by phone or email if you are able to participate.   We will be teaching on Evangelism.  We will also have a separate class for the girls taught by Missionary Shelley Grimm and for the boys taught by Missionary Harold Priday.  Different men will be preaching each night.

In April, we will be returning to the U. S. for our furlough.  Our last furlough was 2007-2008.    We are already beginning to work on our schedule.  It would be an honor for us to be in your church.  I am attaching a postcard for you to please complete and print and return to us as soon as possible by mail or by email if you have not done so already.   Our email is lesliepriday@gmail.com .  I will contact you to confirm or change if necessary.  Thank you to those who have already contacted us.    Thank you for your help!

Dear Colaborers:

Thank you for your prayers and faithful support.   In October we had terrible flash floods in our city affecting some two thousand people.  Many lost everything with six feet of water in their houses.   The structure of many houses was damaged.  No one here in our area has flood insurance because it had never flooded here.  Praise the Lord none of our church people or family were affected.

The men’s conference the end of October was a great blessing.  My Dad, Missionary Harold Priday was our speaker.  We had sixteen men from four churches.   The theme was PREPARING FOR REVIVAL.  The meetings were Thursday and Friday night, and Saturday morning.  We praise the Lord for the great time we had.

This weekend Missionary Miss Shelley Grimm will be speaking to the ladies of the mission.  Now we are preparing for our Christmas program and the New Year.  Please pray for a national pastor for the work in Barrio Abajo.

Please begin now to pray for our 2016 YOUTH CAMP,  Easter Week or Holy Week as we say here.  To be able to have camp with our youth who come from poor homes, we have to help them with half of their camp costs.  Please pray that the Lord will provide these extra funds.  That comes out to about $50.00 for each camper.  We are praying for a special offering of $2,500.00 for this camp.

Next April, 2016, we will be returning to the U. S. for our furlough.  Our last furlough was 2007-2008.    We are already beginning to work on our schedule.  It would be an honor for us to be in your church.  I am attaching a postcard for you to please complete and print and return to us as soon as possible by mail or by email.  Our emaiL is lesliepriday@gmail.com (corrected from last letter).  I will contact you to confirm or change if necessary.  Thank you to those who have already contacted us.    Thank you for your help!

We want to wish each of you a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families and a blessed Christmas celebrating the birth of our Wonderful Lord and Savior.  Thank you again for your prayers and financial support.  We also wish you a great New Year filled with blessings from the Lord and fruit in your ministry.  We will be spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with our family here.

Dear Pastor and Friends:

It finally started raining in Honduras.  However, many crops were lost and in several parts of the country the situation is very difficult.  Shortages of beans, corn, and even electricity are probable in the next summer or dry season.    Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support.  We count it a privilege to be your missionaries here.

Recently one of the ladies in the mission work gave testimony that she was able to lead to Christ two young men who were remodeling her home.   She is one of the people that received a soul winning course.  We praise the Lord for the burden that she has for the lost.  In October we will have an emphasis on evangelism.   Please begin to pray for every contact.  Please pray for a national pastor for the work in Barrio Abajo.

We are planning a men’s conference the end of October.  My Dad, Missionary Harold Priday will be the speaker.  We expect men from several churches.  Please pray for this special time. Satan attacks men fiercely here.

Dear Prayer Partners:

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support.  We count it a privilege to be your missionaries here.  We are in an extended dry season as has not been seen for many years.  It usually starts raining in May. Farmers in many areas have lost their crops.  But nothing compares with the Spiritual drought here.  Heresy is spreading as a wildfire, masquerading as true Christianity.

Satan has been battling in the lives of many of the people in the mission with sickness, family problems, unemployment, and financial problems.  Please pray that the Christians will keep their eyes on the Lord and be faithful.  As the teens grow and move away for their education and jobs, they many times also drift away from the Lord.  Please pray for them.

May was a very busy month with a special Mother’s Day celebration, a men’s meeting, and a surprise Pastor’s Day celebration.  It is always encouraging to hear their testimonies of how we have been a blessing to their lives.  To God be the glory!  In July we had a watch night service from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.  It was a time of special music, testimonies, preaching, a bonfire, and several times of special prayer.  I praise the Lord for Bro. Arturo who has started teaching Sunday School!  Please pray for him because his wife does not attend church.

Next May, 2016, we will be returning to the U. S. for our furlough.  Our last furlough was 2007 to 2008.    We are already beginning to work on our schedule.  It would be an honor for us to be in your church.  I am attaching a postcard for you to please complete and print and return to us as soon as possible by mail or by email.  Our email is lesliepriday@gmail.com .  I will contact you to confirm or change if necessary.  Thank you for your help!
