July 5th.
MOVAVE DESERT, CALIFORNIA.
HEADED WEST.
HOT SUN BEAMING INTO FRONT WINDSHIELD, COOKING US IN THE FRONT SEAT.
100° Fahrenheit outside.
3:00 IN THE AFTERNOON
Suddenly, the air conditioner starts blowing hot air. Maybe it is frozen up so we put it on vent a while.
Turned a/c back on, still, hot air.
How far are we from Bakersfield?
How long would it take to fix it?
How much is this going to cost?
But it is Saturday afternoon, everything will be closed.
SUDDENLY, COLD AIR STARTS BLOWING OUT AGAIN AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES OF HOT AIR! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS MERCY UPON US ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
God sure is so good to us.
So, we continue on, trying to make it to a favorite restaurant for supper, Andersen’s Pea Soup restaurant.
Don’t think we will make it to Redding tonight, but we will get close enough to make it to Redmond, Oregon to Grandma’s house tomorrow after church!
Please continue to pray for us. We had good services in 3 churches on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona and a good service in Prescott, Arizona Wednesday night.
Had a great but short visit with friends ( Liz Winkler Smith) there and had a great July 4th with them. Thank you for your prayers,
In Christ’s Love,
