Dear Prayer Partners:
Thank you for your prayers as we travel. We praise the Lord that we have had good services in the churches we have visited. As we see Christians rededicating their lives to the Lord, we are encouraged. We have been in churches in Texas, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Oregon since our last letter. We left Texas September 28th and will not return until Thanksgiving! We have some special needs about which we ask you to pray. The first one is the need of funds for our laptop computer and video projector for the presentation that we give in each church. We need to raise $2000.00 for this. If you could help us, please send your offering to the IBFI Mission Agency designated for us and our COMPUTER/PROJECTOR FUND.
Another need we ask you to prayerfully consider is a machine dug water well for our house in Honduras. We only have running water from the city one or two hours a day. The hand dug well we had has been drying up. For a three hundred feet well, we need $12,000.00. We praise the Lord that we have already received $500.00 towards this project. If you could help us, please send your offering to the IBFI Mission Agency designated for us and our WATER WELL PROJECT FUND.
We do have some sad news to share. My Mom’s mother, Nora Duncan, died October 11th in Yuma, Arizona. She was 96 years old. She was buried back home in Oregon October 19th. We praise the Lord that she was saved and we have the promise from the Lord that we will see her again. She is survived by 8 children, 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. Please pray for my Mom and all of the Duncan family. My Dad officiated the funeral and I was privileged to have a part, also. My Dad’s father’s health has declined to the point that he had to go to a special home for people with memory problems like dementia and Alzheimer. Please pray for him and my Grandmother.
We praise the Lord for His blessings in the work in Honduras. Pastor Edwin reported that he has baptized three recently. Satan is attacking the families of the church, so please pray for them. The Bible Institute continues training Honduran workers, also. Please pray about supporting the Bible institute monthly or giving a special offering for it.
