May, 2007

Dear Co-laborers:

We praise the Lord for your prayers and financial support for our ministry in Honduras and our family. It is a privilege to be your missionaries here. We are now closing this term of service of five years and preparing to return to the States for our “furlough” of one year. We leave Honduras June 15th. During the next year, we will be in churches in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and possibly others. We covet your prayers as we travel by car to all of these States. We will be reporting to our supporting churches and raising more support also.

Please remember these special requests as you pray for us:

Safety in traveling,

A minivan to use while in the States,

A laptop computer and video projector for our presentation,

That God will use us to be a blessing in each church we visit,

That we may be able to raise more support.

Leaving for a year is hard to prepare for. We must decide what to take and what to leave. We must leave our house secure against burglars, leave everything covered to protect it from the dust and any roof leaks. We will leave a man living here as a watchman, but we must trust the Supreme and most Trustworthy Watchman while we are gone.

We praise the Lord for His help in the work. Both Alba and I have turned over our Sunday school classes to people in the mission. I will only preach one more time before we leave. Bro. Edwin has taken over as the pastor of the mission. The people have elected a church secretary and treasurer. It is exciting to see them become more involved in the ministry and serve the Lord. In the Bible Institute, we will finish the semester this week with final tests. I have been teaching the class of Bible Study Methods.

We are excited about seeing our oldest son, Steve, and spending time with him as well as my parents’ side of the family. But it will be hard to say goodbye to our parents here. Again, we ask you to pray for us as we prepare for our departure on June 15th and as we begin our furlough visiting our supporting churches and raising new support. May God bless each of you in a very special way.

Yours with Hope For Honduras,

Leslie, Alba, Halbert, & Edgar Priday
